The austerity flows out of this set, yet the character is shining and he seems such a contented and happy man. Hard life, but wouldn't have had it any other way.....superb set, love them!

v2 reminds me of a farming family we knew well many years back in Yorkshire - what makes this so authentic to me is the chair and stool - always somewhere within the sheds for them to eat their "lowence"
