I'm not sure what story you wanted to tell with this but for me it doesn't say anything. The composition is a little awkward, with the daffodil directing the eyes out of frame and nothing to drag them back and the overall image seems not to be sure whether it wants to be minimal or not.

In my opinion a letterbox crop works a little better, giving more emphasis to the daffodil and making it feel almost as if it is hanging its head in shame.
