This photo of me was shot by my good friend, Dan Sack at the radio station WBFO in Buffalo, New York. I had announced that I was going to get my hair cut the next day and Dan was the only person with the foresight to document my last days with mega-hair.
This file is a scan I made years ago -- long before I knew anything about digital file formats and resolution. I seem to have misplaced the original photo but I remember it was printed on RC (resin coated) paper and so when I used an ordinary iron to hot mount it to some backing board, the picture started to melt and gave that washed-out look to my face.
Yes, this is really me. No, the hair was not done with PS. It took quite some time but I actually grew every inch of it.

This is wonderful and certainly a look that I haven't seen in a couple of decades. Seeing that you were in radio and now work at a University strangely doesn't come as too much of a surprise.

Wow, you hair was even longer than mine! (I won't mention my beard). I suppose the 70s were the Age of the Beard, they haven't been nearly as fine since.
Love the fact that this has been ironed. That's about my level of technology.
Pareen really started something and it's rather special - as Jenn Taggart has commented elsewhere, we're actually all getting to know each other better by this.

Now that takes me back to some strange timesSmile You were undoubted the height of fashion...quite a lovely growth. Did you live in a commune, too? You really look like a guru. This has been a great peak at the past, and such fun.

I thought the idea of this site is to comment & vote for the photographer skills ,the pictures are good in there own right some of them have not a clue who took the originals ,so how can people vote for them when somebody else should get the credit, don't get me wrong I do enjoy looking at old photos
