Annette (annettep38) suggested that I go down to the beach to find some "beach grot."
So, here's what I found in the tidal pools at low tide -- an engine block.
Annette, its yours if you are looking for something to restore.
V2 is just to put it into context.

Excellent crop for a rusty abstract, and v2 makes it all clear. Good spot and capture, Walter, should keep some people happy on here this morning TongueGrin

V1 is the sort of closer view that I go for - but V1 is well worth seeing, what a fabulous subject.
Again, excellent colours, saturated without being brash and loud.

Love v1 - excellent rustiness. I wonder how it got into the sea; they're quite heavy I imagine....!

V1 is very abstract with marvelous colors and textres
V2, my preference, tells what this is, where it sits and just how rusty a grotty it is-- What a great find and image!

Good light, color, sharp and clear!

A first class bit of beach grot Walter and an unusual find (at least, I imagine it is - presumably the seafront around your way doesn't often have car parts washing up on it!) I really like the rich colour of the rust and the wonderful textures - the sea has prepared the metal beautifully. You've handled the light well and the detail is lovely.

Anna

V2 for me today - I really like the object placed in the center - the green colours frame the focus and the light reflections are " icing on the cake"
Wish you a lot of fun and much success with your new toy Wink)

I was going tp say that this is Mikbee's speciality but he has been in a seen it.
Great colours in it, you have captured it well V1 for me.
A couple of questions though. Do people really spoil the beaches like this? Does the town
council ever do a clean up of this stuff??????????…….
