a very interesting texture in these petals, I can even spot some grot in the points!

I like the vintage feel you've achieved with the processing on this one Walter and the close crop really focusses attention on the flower. There's lovely texture in the leaves and by including some of the surrounding foliage we get an idea of the environment this grows in.
