We were having dinner on the 2nd floor patio of the Taverna dei Consoli in Assisi, Italy when I shot these lanterns that lined the railing. -= Walter

I really like this one, like the use of perspective/the diagonal line and the repeats of the lamps. Lovely warm colours and some good textures too - well I did say I liked it!

Thanks for your comments on my autumn scene. You asked me how I did it. It was very simple. I used Photoshop 7 software and followed these instruction.
1. Copy the image onto a seperate layer
2. Blur the copied layer by quite a large amount.
3. Change the blend mode to overlay, and that's all I did.
The instructions went a lot futher than that, copying the layer a second time, making more vibrant colours but I liked the result at stage 3. Have a try, it was easy.

Another great shot tucked away in your pf...love this for so many reasons, but mainly because of the repeating nature of the image...kinda appeals to me that Smile

neat idea and good quality of the main subject... it would be fun to play with this in PS to highlight the lights and do something "arty" with the surroundings.
