normally I'd be tempted to say you should have waited for the person in the foreground to pass and then take the photo, but in this case I think its poinient and adds to the story to show down and outs have no significance in peoples eyes and they choose to walk past and ignore them as if they are not there.
Thanks for your comment Kenny, I thought just like you did wait for the moment and nail the shot, I followed the woman trying to get a shot her begging but just couldn't get it she crossed the road to her partner I a number of shot trying just to get them alone, I did get some but the moment had gone. When I was looking through the shot, non really really jump out at me except the one I just put on here, I think you saw the same has me.
