One of a quartet of young musicians at the 30th anniversary party for our Town Twinning, October 2012. Average age perhaps 16 and a bit, they played a range of music by other musicians that I had actually heard of (such as The Kinks and Jimi Hendrix) - and very well they played too.
Rear curtain + slow shutter flash syncro used.

I was rather overwhelmed to receive a quartet of User Awards yesterday, from Nezih (nonur), Joline, BarryC123 and Anne (atworner). Many thanks to them all.

Strong, gritty/grainy images concentrating on 'the part'. Very effective, Bill.

V2 shows more of the effect that rear curtain flash gives and for that it is the better of the twi images.

Two very fine shots of an iconic guitar.
V1 for me, please, if only for the rather incongruous use of a Fender strap on a Gibson guitar. I had thought there were rules about that sort of carry-on.

V1 is a perfect low key B&W, and I like the revealed vibration of the strings in the V2.

Takes me back to the 60's Bill with your mention of the Kinks and Jimi Hendrix.
Funny how folk say if you remember the 60's you ''weren't there''
I remember it well,but I can't remember where I was only last night !!
Good mono shots.
(And I may surprise you with my upload tonight !!)
Mick.

Two super images, Bill, excellent mono work too. I like how you've captured movement in V2, but think V1's my fave for the wonderful tones and textures Smile Think I might just have to part with my UA here...Wink

A classic Guitar here Bill, in the Gibson range, but with what looks like a Fender Strap, but I could be wrong.
Great piece of work though, and Featured E2 Photo at the mo Wink

A wonderfully powerful image (V1), Bill and a very valuable guitar for a youngster if it's a real Gibson

These are a great pair Bill. I like V1 for the sharpness, but V2 I think is my preference!
The movement as well as the skulls teeth really capture the mood perfectly!
