this is purely a reference photo to something i captured that i've never seen before.
it's three rainbows but on of them was going the completely other direction....anyone else come across this??
image is literally as quick a grab shot as you can imagine as it disappeared so quickly.

Yes this is a relatively rare event. Dr Ken Bignell at Imperial College would be very interested in this. The 3rd bow is caused by relection, and therefore will need standing water nearby, as obviously is the case with this. It is possible to get more than 3 bows but these are extremely rare. The most that I am aware of is a single incident in Australia by a man who got a photo of 5 (five. Good take. Ken
