Gothic shot with a 1966 Nikon F and Tri-x Film (1) Thank you, but it is film so no processing took place except direct scanning of the neg into a computer. By: gavrelle |
No influences. we were shooting in a bombed out church in the country. The model had gone into the undergrowth to get the latex dress on, i saw a gave in some gravestones in the undergrowth that was sunlit. Hence got the shot. I think she has wedge shoes on as there was lots of sharp twiggs around. By: gavrelle |
I like this alot!!!!! By: Spencer1966 |
Thanks for the comments. I admit that i prefer my portraits to look like life, ie a bit rough, I do not like plastic skin, hence i havent smoothed it. Personal preference which probably goes against convention. i do get shot of zits and other bits like that, my D800 is quite merciless on models skins!! By: gavrelle |
Thank you very much lads!!!!! By: gavrelle |
Thats one point of view. the story behind this is that we were shooting indoors in the studio and we went outside for a few shots. I admit i didnt think too much of this image, but the model loved it, and she is the harshest critic. So i stuck it up on here to see what happens!!!. I also do not do much post processing as I am a bit of an old fashioned photographer!!! By: gavrelle |
Thanks scrimmy!!, i still use my ME super!!! I took this with my D800 which is known for its detail. Its not as difficult to use as reputed, i am used to film, and i use my digi cameras the same way. Being so detailed rendered the skin well. I never smooth skin, i leave it natural, but then i do things different, but i think its wrong to alter models skin to look like plastic!! By: gavrelle |
Ivor, i was there Sun afternoon!!. the place just draws me back, so many possibilities!! By: gavrelle |

Thames sailing barges on the river Medway. I like it. Coming from the Medway area, i was used to seeing these off shore and many of my family worked on these. Nice picture, captured well. By: SailorBuoy |
