The weather was quite inclement to begin with on top of Twisleton Scar, but when it began to break there was just something magical about the quality of light if yielded ... made it all worth while!!!
Felt this had a Brontė-esque feel to it, hence the title.
Hope your Tuesday goes well and thanks for looking in.
Love the title!
Oh, and the image, too...
I must get me up there sometime soon!
pretty special is this one paul...
Looks sweet in print too mate
Cheers guys, appreciate it,
I bet it does on yer fancy paper
LOL ... very tactile it is too
Outstanding mate, love everything about it, well done.
Great looking landscape.
Bronte, artistic titles and tactile paper ..... I'm beginning to worry about you. That said if you keep churning out images of this quality then we can overlook your impending madness.
The light on the grasses and the backdrop of that sky makes it a wonderful shot and I bet it looks terrific in print.
Cracking capture,super atmosphere.
Nice shot; rubbish pun!
great shot with wonderful light and nicely processed
Quote: impending madness
... oiy, I resemble that remark
As for 'churning' Dave, you make it sound like I'm a production line machine
Like the details and light in this Paul - well captured.
Quote: Looks sweet in print too
Cheers guys, catch you later
This is by far my favorite of your Twistleton Scar shots, damn good image this, the contrasting colour's are superb and the composition is sublime.
excellent shot, nice lighting and tones.
Could be my fave too Ian, just got some great conditions for a while!!!
My fave too, absolutely cracking shot. helen
your title sums this up perfectly - excellent image (great film too)
Nicely done, good light and nice processing work.
Cheers Helen, Sue and Ben for your time and comments ... though if you saw the original RAW file Ben you'd see there wasn't much processing needed, it really was some lovely light for a brief moment
I did.........and there wasn't
Ah ... my star witness has popped back to give testimony
Super contrast. I think its the line of grass between the two scars that makes this composition. It breaks it up beautifully.
Thanks Chris, the way the light caught it was what attracted me in the first place
Beautifull light!!! Great composition too, for me one of the best one's from there I've seen so far. Top job!
Thanks Pavol ... I hope your fiancée is feeling much better now!!!
Thanks Paul, she is feeling better now, but still off the work and in the bed..., I believe she'll be fit again very soon
This was the shot I was going to load, but you beat me. Hence the puffin.. I will leave it a few days and upload it..
Hope you are well...
Glad to hear that Pavol
Sorry Stew, didn't realise ... I'd have held off if I'd known We're both fine, hope all is well your end too.
nice shot Paul.
One of your best.
That's a great compliment Tom, thanks
Cheers guys, enjoy your evenings,
Thats a cracker Paul.Lovely bit of light in this.
1st Class Paul.
Have this on me, well deserved.
Great minds eh?
Thanks lads 'n lasses, your time and comments are very much appreciated.
Stew, I'm honoured mate ... cheers
Tis a cracker, MrS xxxxx
Thanks MissA x
Fabulous light and colour, Tony
Thanks Tony, appreciate it.
Great light and drama Paul. I'm off to look at the earlier uploads now.
Nice one, well captured.
Thank you guys
Totally awesome shot,nice one John
A great place for photography Paul & you have done it proud.
Lovely textures & colour & a nice drop of low cloud in the bg.
Thanks very much Ty and Janet for your time and comments, have a great day!!!
you have this special talent of making your images so natural looking.even with adjustments, they are always spot on mate.
whenever i process mine, they are either under or overcooked. lol.
(BEAUTIFUL) (thats the photograph, not you lol.
LOL Dazzler ... you had me worried there
As mentioned above mate, this has have very little processing done to it as the conditions were just so right for a brief while. I have one shot just before this which was nearly right and one after where the light was a little too harsh ... looking at the metadata on them there was only 40 seconds difference between all 3 mate.
Cheers for your time,
Superb, Paul, but the long way down here means you already know that. Wouldn't have minded some light like that Sunday, but you made great use of it when you got it!
I know what you mean mate, the light always seemed to be just 'over there' but never where I wanted it ... hence the absence of lakeland shots from me!!!
Good to see you again though, Happy Birthday too
As you yourself say the light certainly is magical, but it takes a bit of magic to be a the right place at the right time.
If I'd dared to tell any or all of our party when it was pouring with rain and we were dragging my car out of the rutted lay-by [long story] before dawn, that anyone of us would get a shot that would amass this amount of votes and comments - they would've swiftly got onto their mobiles and phoned the funny farm to come and collect me ... so you can see, there's a helluva lot of luck in getting this quality of light Penny. Though I suppose you seriously increase your chances of getting it if you actually make the effort though
Thanks very much for your time,
This is a cracker, love the lighting and I like the fact that the grass separates the stones makes it feel more open....and bloody colder
Thank you m'dear
Cheers too Gary for your UA, means a lot!!!
Absolutely beautiful image. Love that lone tree.....Sandy
Thanks Sandy, nice to hear from you
A big thanks Gilbert, thought this one had run it's course!!!
A stunning image worth the inclemant start to the day I think.
Cheers Mick, it certainly was. One of my favourite images of the year [so far]
OK I lied,
This is one I wish was mine,,and I mean WISH,,LOl.
LOL ... lie away Aidan
Glad you like it, this looks great on my wall at home ... just love the brief light we got that morning
