He's lovely-- perhaps you could tame him?
As to capturing the spider-- LOL-- that would have required wading in what is now looking very swampy-- Nope, but I think it was a wolf spider--- will post one soon-- long narrow spider with LOOOOOOOOONNNNNGGGG legs!
