This time using the big stopper - I like the blue tones in this shot.

Have no experience of the big stopper, Geoff, but I can appreciate it's effect in an image.
Although the low sun was casting some warmth on the f/g boulders, as you say there is an overall coolness from the predominant blue tones.
brilliant colours and tones geoff love the light on the fg rocks a belter nice one
Very nice indeed Geoff. What exposure time was this? Looks to be between 30 and 60 secs.
You may have a little flare bottom left.
I like the blue tones too - and the light on the foreground rocks!
Like the muted tones and splash of light on the foreground rocks
Excellent photo as were the previous - when you say big stopper i assume you me a filter, please tell us what you used. Well done
Thanks for your comments everyone - I do really appreciate constructive criticism so thank you.
Elaine - the filter I used was a Lee 10 stop filter - they call it the "big stopper"
Derek - you may be right about the flare - I had thought it was movement in the water but of course that could not happen with a big stopper. The exposure time was 120 secs.
May need a bit more practice!
