I am a retired engineer.
Born in the West Midlands UK and live in Orba, Spain.
My passion is flower photography and perhaps in time, some landscape photography.
I became interested in digital photography in 2007.
My cameras are EOS 50D & EOS 400D.
The lens I use most is a Canon EF 100mm. f2.8 USM macro.
I usually mount this setup on a tripod and use a remote cord.
In addition I have a Canon EF 70-200mm f4L USM and a
Canon EFS 18-135 with image stabilizer, I find this a good carry around lens.


I have a Canon flash unit 580EX 11.
I am trying different ideas with off camera flash including catchlight and bounce techniques.
I also use artificial light (6400K) to give some life in the shadows where required
The results so far are promising.

I shoot in RAW format and just tweek where required using DPP that comes with Canon cameras.
I crop very little.
