One Puffin was attacked by a Gull as it tried to land with food for it's chick forcing it to drop it's catch.

This one quickly took advantage of the situation and picked up one of the sandeels.

I have read that the Puffins are learning fast and drop the odd sandeel, to distract the gulls, while they home in on their burrowSmile

Whether it is true, I do not know

Adrian

Quite possible Adrian, I've seen a few drop them when they're going to be attacked.

Thank you everyone Smile
