Another shot taken on the same day as the Alfa engine. I did a bit of playing around on Photoshop here though. Here's the tale...
Quick exposure tweak, a little fill light, contrast & clarity adjustment, then a little sharpening, all in RAW.
After that, it was a mono conversion, with a tint added for that "olde worlde" look.
Wasn't at all right. Added a vignette.
Still not right.
Added a border.
Nope.
Oops. Missed a bit, sorry!
Made a new layer & filled it with 100% black, the changed the opacity until that looked about right.
Then it hit me. The edges were too clean. Gaussian blur added & voila!.
Works for me, I'm keen hear other's opinions

Really nicely done - all works well and might have to try it myself as we have been to a car museum today - very difficult lighting and background situations to this though. ..Jo
