Pelargonium is the name of a genus of flowering plants that includes 200 species, commonly known as geraniums, although geranium is a different genus of related plants. Pelargonium species are evergreen perennials from South Africa but they are popular all over the world especially in eastern Mediterranean basin and of course in Greece. Blossoms are colorful and in great variety of shades. This is from my garden.

Love the subdued lighting here which has allowed accurate capture of this intense red colour: once again Colleen's comment about not having the subject dead centre could apply.........just gives an image that is aesthetically more pleasing (IMHO).
