Hi Each

Left the big lens at home today and went for a walk in the countryside with my little macro. The birds get a day in peace and my back gets a break from carrying all that heavy stuff around.

Taking pictures of wild flowers is much more time consuming than I thought. You spend the morning snapping away, then the afternoon with your head in a book trying to work out what on earth you have photographed. Anyway, I think this is Hogweed (Heracleum spondylium), but to be honest I have looked at so many books and references that I am by now totally confused. I think I need to go and lie down. Grin

Enjoy the rest of your day. GrinGrin

It's very beautiful and I love the oof flower behind. The black background shows it off very well. I'm not sure what it is, I'm afraid.

Nice selective focus, one thing about a macro lens is your pretty sure of coming back with an image of some kind, the big lens and birds now that's a different matter. - gary

Looking at this first time Gerry makes me think. But then taking it all in I find
it a beautifully done composition. Well done. WesternRed.
