Brilliant photo, I've been trying to get one like this for a long time, haven't quite achieved it yet, so I am very jealous ;o)
Good shot, well done on the award.
I'm in two minds if cloning out the branch in the top right might would improve the picture.
Beautifully sharp image with lots of interest! Well captured.
Fantastic!I think its allways best to capture animals doing something rarther than just sitting there.A great portrait of a Black Birds life.
Great shot, Gerwyn. Caught just at the right instant. Everything's sharp and the colours are spot on.
I agree wuth fletchphoto nice to see all the whole picture.
Nice shot with good detail and colour, although I find the light patch to the left of the bird very distracting.
Just the right moment great shot

Where are my comments going?
Very well done and congrats.
Great Timing!!!You really caught the moment.
This shot is so well timed, did you have to wait ages for the right moment? Everything about this shot is superb, the light, the composition, clarity and colour and most of all the berry in his beak.
Well seen,great shot..
Excellent - scattering of red - always works
I thought I already clicked on this..Great shot,beautiful composition & colours.Well done & congratulations.
your love of nature comes through in your shot, Fantastic (*:*)
Well deserved EC. Tell me - do you find all these birds in your garden or do you hunt them down in the park/countryside. Can't seem to get anything with feathers in my garden, even with a bird feeder.
Thanks for the comment. When we moved into our house fourteen years ago we planted a Hawthorn hedge and two Mountain Ash trees. We are also lucky enough to live on the edge of a forest and at the foot of a mountain. There is also a 50 foot Ash tree in my garden and next door has an even bigger Oak. I suppose we are very lucky.
Nice on.....absolutely brilliant...and welcome in the award club.
great pic - i do like the colours and sharpness..
Wow, what a capture!
Really nice photo and great colors.
I think the word for this is S-U-P-E-R-B.
A great capture and a magnificent image. Congratulations on the EC, well deserved.

deserved to win.. and its really superb and Xclent shot... Ladybird finally a
Just found this wonderful shot... wanted to thank you for giving the name of the breed, (German short haired pointer), Bracco tedesco in Italian. Mine was wonderful. Found him lost and bedraggled during the hunting season when many dogs go missing in northern Italy... they keep them locked up in cages all year and then complain when the dog makes off for the horizon in autumn...I always knew dogs were intelligent. His back legs were broken, I suspect he was hit by a car, but after steel pins were inserted he sired many a dog in our local village. His genes still walk this earth. Have just been adopted by a mutt, half Spinone and labrador if I'm not mistaken.
Once again, thanks for the memories,
well deserved EC !!! wonder how i missed this earlier..
beautful shot..well-captured too.
Look forwrd to more snaps from u.
Great shot. I had exactly the same photo in front of me but by the time I got the camera the bird had gone. I never saw it again, and the tree was gradually stripped bare. Well done for getting this, and so well.
Not sure where I was when this came around. Such a wonderful capture. A bird photographer's dream shot.
Beautiful shot - well done
A wonderful image and capture. Your timing is immaculate. You live in such a wonderful place Gerwyn, inspires us all to visit.
