One from a trip to California in January ..... only just finding the time to process the images as I have been struggling with my PC which crashed every time I tried to do anything ![]()
However, as from this week I now have the new mac book pro and a sparkly thunderbolt monitor
... all a bit new and to someone who has never used a mac before it is almost like learning a foreign language but hey ho ![]()
So, this is from Joshua Tree National Park in the Mojave Desert where the trees are strange and the rock formations even stranger!
Many thanks for taking a look and any advice is always most welcome.

Welcome to the world of proper computers! Beautiful image.
A well thought out composition with the main tree well placed and its support of smaller specimens in the background. Lovely image, Gill.

Stunning image. California certainly is a paradise for photographers. Nice colour, clarity and contrast.
Regards.

an arid but intriguing view. I like your composition very much.
A fascinating location, Gilly, and you have done it proud.
I have so many pictures to process, I needn't take any more pictures really!!!!
Gilly,
I'm glad you were able to finally get this one to us. This is a wonderful shot of one of our (my wife and I) favorite places in the world.
When we first moved to California in 1977 we immediately fell in love with all of the desert parks (Joshua Tree, Death Valley, Anza-Borrego, etc.).
Nicely done.
