View yesterday NW over Glasgow towards the Campsie Hills (background right). The cone to the left of the f/g church spire (Pollokshields Church of Scotland) is Dumgoyne, a volcanic plug.
One can also pick out the Clydeport Authority Crane, the top of the "Hoop Bridge" which crosses the R. Clyde at Finnieston, and the beyond the gothic mass of Glasgow University on Gilmorehill.

Details: See EXIF.

Many thanks to all who CandC'd on 'Last Light, Last Night".......I appreciate your attention and comments.

Interesting shot Ronnie. I saw a TV prog. "The making of Britain" recently, which mentioned the way Glasgow's topology was fashioned by the Ice Age. This view was one of the illustrations, though theirs wasn't as detailed.

Lovely to see the church spires towering over the city as they are supposed to and not dwarfed by modern buildings.

This is superbly well composed. The balance and colours work well together. the light blue of the sky, the slate grey/blue of the roofs and the active horizon; speckled with the shark architecture ... works very well.
