Hello everyone
Thankyou all so much for the wonderful comments on my Blue Tit, much appreciated.

As we were about to leave Arundel WWT on Monday afternoon, Paul had a call from Ina (Gezina) to say that she and her hubby Graham had just arrived, as she knew that we had made a return visit...
The weather was still glorious, so we all decided to call in at Pulborough Brooks which is not far up the road to see if anything was about.

Now as most of you know by now, I'm not into taking shots of small birds and know very little with regards ID... this is my effort from Pulborough, Paul tells me it's a Chiffchaff.

I just thought it looked a nice image to upload...lol Large may be worth a look if you have time.

Gill

A superb capture, Gill, and on such an attractive perch, too! I know the place well, used to live in Rackham! Carol

A cracking shot Gilly, nice and sharp it was a pity it wouldn't move this side of the twigs though.

Lovely shot Gill, such a shame about the twigs as Paul said,

They always hide behind twigs, but who cares...not me Gill. I call it natural environment. Glad you haven't cropped to much, detail and exposure have been preserved on this great bird.
Might have just increased the space to the left so that the Chiffchaff isn't central.
Superb capture

Its all very well for Paul to be pointing thse things out Gilly but its the person pressing the shutter button that makes the picture !!! Only joking of course. He is a grand chap and knows what he is talking about. A lovely shot.

Well captured.

Hi Gill

What is the font you have used for the 'Chiff Chaff'

Good shot, think of the rule of thirds for all your images it will improve them without too much effort, also try reversing the image, for example making the bird look the other way, it may or may not look better, worth trying.

If he who must be obeyed doesnt know how to show you how to set up the thirds in Photoshop give me a ring and I will tell you.

Saw the photo in your PF of a good curry, could you recognise it.

After all this typing it may be a while before I comment again.

LOL...point taken for the future, with regards the rule of thirds,
however, sometimes I feel the rules can be bent or broken and I think your brother knows how to set this third thing up, you cheeky boy! as for the font you need to speak to he who must be obeyed...LOL
AND IF YOU THINK I AM GOING TO CURRY MY CAT...you had better start looking for another airport taxi service for November.
