Hello everyone

Thanks as always to those of you who commented and voted on my previous upload. Continuing with my series, we are back on the Farne Islands today, with the Arctic Terns!

Now, I know these shots aren’t perfect by any means…but this was my attempt at getting some inflight shots, without getting my eye pecked out…LOL
These are a few of the best of what I took, (also for those of you who haven’t seen already I’ve also put an inflight v2 on my other Arctic Tern upload)

Thanks for taking a look…
Gill

Even though the little blighters come so close it is difficult to get them in focus as they move so fast. I can feel them pecking my head from here. A very nice series.

i was on Farne on sunday, damn hard to get these chaps, and they can peck for sure, one whitewashed my 300mm lens and another filled my friends ear.

Gilly these are great. Although they look very fragile and delicate birds they fly like the wind and dart about all over the place. Most difficult to focus and expose for !! On top of that they pack a bit of a punch with their dive bombing.
Well done with all these.

So difficult shooting into the sky to get that balance between the blacks and whites and see the eye on these Gill, but the detail on the wings is superb and love the detail in V2
Great captures

Gill as a "beginner" at these shots you've done extremyly well to capture the detail you have - Carry on like this and Paul & I might have to pack our lenses away Wink I especially like V2 with the glint in the eye - Ina
