Hello everyone
Firstly, thanks to all of you who commented and voted on my previous upload and wished me a Happy Birthday! much appreciated.

Todays upload is another first for me, of a Great Spotted Woodpecker, that I managed to get when Paul and I went to Warburg NR with Richard (Doghouse) last week.

Hope you like them...
Gill

3 Super captures Gill. I know the limitations you endured to get these (all hand held) so well done. Now to get you a tripod to go with you new found passion and steady those images.

I have spent some time chasing this shot myself Gilly. Well done. As a hand held capture this is very good indeed but Paul's advice re tripod is very sound.
A great effort on which I am delighted to be 30.

At 340mm (you forgot to mention the 1.7x TC I think Gill) you have done extremely well. The 2.8VR is a cracking lens but I can thoroughly recommend the Sigma 150-500 OS. I have both and the Sigma just gets me that little bit closer Wink
