No doubt not the first snow photograph on here today but I could not resist! Another image taken at Rainton Meadows Nature Reserve. I slightly prefer the portrait mode here but some may prefer the landscape one that I have uploaded as V2.

Thanks for all your clicks and comments, all much appreciated!

Carol

v1 has the balance, Carol, and a nice lead in through the gate/gap.

V 1 has the more pleasing balance to my eye, Carol: although a cold winter scene, somehow you feel invited to wander down the path and explore further.

V1 all the way. Portrait conveys the rise in the land, the struggle uphill.

V1 does work better with emphasis on climb up the hill.
Good lead in with snow on the post and hedge.

Funny how everyone has gone forn V1 while I'm going for V2, and not just to be different, it appeals to me, afterall, it is the same scene but taken from a few steps to the left!

They won't be the last either as I intend to post some German Snow Dog images later.

Two lovely winter images with loads of detail and texture.
