I took this shot of the York Wheel earlier this year. Unfortunately the quality was extremely poor (blame the photographer!) and I was going to scrap it. However, I thought I'd see if I could get some sort of HDR effect using layers in Photoshop and this is the result. Not brilliant I know but, as you can see from V2 (the original) you can sometimes make a silk purse from a sow's ear!!

Thanks for all your comment on my last upload and the interest in the guy in V2 playing the spoons! For those who don't know, this is an age-old custom whereby someone clatters two spoons together purporting to play a tune whilst singing/humming/whistling along. I suppose it keeps them happy!! Wink

Enjoy the weekend!

Carol

Didn't you go up in it, Carol? It is rather expensive - even at concessionary rates for us old 'uns! - but it offers super views Smile Great bit a digital jiggery-pokery Wink

In answer to your questions, NO! I would not go up in this! I went on the London Eye once, got some good photos but wouldn't want to do it again!

Good rescue job Carol.
It's amazing you can do an HDR without bracketing in camera.
Was it just a jpeg originally.
Even more amazing rescue if so!

Two extremely contrasting variants, version one simply the best. An image which got me spinning.

Good thinking Batman,,nice finish.
I have somthng like this but it's a "jumpimg wall" in Co Louth.
Dont bother reading again,,you read it right a jumping wall.
The sky was one of those painful over cast one's that looks sh*t no matter what,,lol.
Well you do what you can,,
It's the wall thats interesting,,
Hope to get them up later on my break.

Aidan,,
