Taken this last weekend whilst visiting some of the D Day Landing beaches of Normandy.
Good sense of scale. The people on the beach gives me a greater appreciation of the mass of the beach and water.
The water on the sand almost looks like writing You've taken the shot from an excellent vantage point - well done. Cressy
looks like someone painted the beach, fantastic pic
Like the water patterns on the sand and the "layers" in the photo. Very satisfying colours with the figures giving scale.
A very well observed image with good shapes and patterns in the sand. The people add further interest. Andy
Looking at it now its hard to imagine the horror this beach saw all those years ago.Very thought provoking shot.Great work.
Have to agree with mike. Very thought provoking image. well done.
I took this shot from the military cemetery positioned above the beach. It was significant , that it was a lovely day, perfect sunbathing weather and the the cemetery was crowded. yet few people ventured down to the beach. A mark of respect, I think.
Looks rather more peaceful these days
This a great image Mike. It would make a lovely large poster.
As a photograph, well seen.
