This is my small contribution to "Shadow Saturday" as a shadow is falling across its right wing.

MArvellous, as usual, Ed.
Can you explain where the name comes from? There doesn't appear to be much 'dark green' about her.
Must be the smallest shadow presented for Shadow Saturday thus far. A new record for someone to try and better, I think.![]()
Malc
1 out of 10 for the shadow, Ed
, 9 out of 10 for the butterfly.
Dave
Fine shot worth your time and effort Ed - a cracker
A bit of a tentative entry for the SatShads, Ed, but a finely detailed fritillary nonetheless.
Many thanks for all your comments and clicks, they are much appreciated, Ed
I'd be very careful if I were you Arthur he is a formidable and very scary animal. I read about a man being chased by a red stag and forced to hide up a tree when he was attempting to photograph the red deer rut last week. That would not happen with the Big O when he goes to Exmoor or Ashton Court......it would be the poor stag being forced to seek refuge up the tree to escape his clutches!!!![]()
