A newly emerged Four Spot Chaser dragonfly I spotted drying its wings beside one of the lakes at Coate Water Park in Swindon last Tuesday. I guess this one had only hatched minutes ago, so I was extremely lucky that it was in pristine condition and unable to fly off when I attempted to photograph it. What a difference a week makes, when this one was taken it was hazy sunshine and temperatures in the mid twenties, now it is overcast and cold with temperatures barely in the low teens! It ain't meant to be getting any better this week, welcome to the start of the Great British summer folks, it's time to get out those woolies and don your rain gear!![]()
