Some of this years nene goslings taken on a recent trip to Slimbridge in Gloucestershire. This breed of goose is the rarest in the world and Slimbridge are running a very succesful breeding program which is helping to ensure their survival. These were all taken in the area close to the South Lake hide where there is a bridge which crosses a small stream for those who are familiar with the place.

v1 and v2 really stand out for me, as the light/detail/and focus on the head is very clear in both shots

V3 is the one with the AAAAWH factor for me, Ed, standing on those little legs, probably thinking it's easier to be swimming on the water.
It's so gratifying to know about the breeding programme at Slimbridge.
