The distillation of golden late Summer days, Brian. Glorious wing patterning, textures and colours. Razor sharp detail and complemented to perfection by the purple of the perch and the dark bg tones. Perfect "eye candy" for getting to grips with the ever shortening days!

A stunning close up Brian, you've really nailed this one. This is one of the best images of a comma I've seen on here and Sylvia has summed it all up so eloquently above.
Absolute masterclass in macro photography Bri, almost a 3D aspect and the detail and colours are sublime mate.
Love the distinctive ragged edges to the comma's wings, beautifully defined here, and the bright orange-brown too.
