Jay II

Firstly a big thank you for all your votes, comments and clicks on the previous image....As always welcomed & appreciated.

Spent another full day trying to capture the very shy and elusive Jay, constantly impeded once again by that B****Y Tree Rat ( See V2 ) Tongue
Anyway this was the best of the bunch, he only landed thrice and for a split second.

All the Best

Dean

Well taken indeed, Dean.
Not an easy bird to photograph by any means, as you know. Frequently heard, an occasional glimpse of tail feathers, but rarely captured out in the open as in this quality shot.

Stunning Jay- what a pose - I like the 'rat' too. You have them well trained Dean.Smile
Brian.

Having spent a day in in the heat of Africa trying to capture that ultimate avian shot I can appreciate the time and effort put into this image.
Clear sharp and super composition. Not easy when the model takes no direction what so ever, not to mention the fact that one has no control what so ever as far as the lighting goes and nothing sits still long enough for one to even think about all the above.Super shot

V2. Needs what I have for them...very large powerful water gun
V1 is outstanding Dean, also hate to say this
As I really dislike the little sh*** more than most
But it has posed well and you got a superb image of him!

I like the angle that he is at, toning BG - and everything else. Just recorded the first of these in our garden, only see them usually in local woods.

they are both fantastic!! the squirrel shot is one of the best I have seen.. and since I have never seen one but during visits to Britain I don't mind admiring them.
But the Jay is the very best,, perch, detail and pose Smile
