A couple from the archives, taken in April 2011 in the garden.

Some late morning sun had found this pair of orchids. Fortunately I found ‘em at that very moment Smile I really liked how the sun played across them.

Huge thanks to Matt (Herge88) for his very special User Award on 'Touch The Sky' Smile

Lovely orchid shots. I prefer version 1 but would like that stem in the bottom left hand corner taking out.

I think I prefer V1, just that bit more jungle-in-miniature background.

Simply divine, Andrew, and V.2 gets my vote, I prefer the background without the stem. Who's showing off now, "taken in the garden" Wink. Aren't you the lucky one to hve orchids as garden flowers SmileSmileSmile Carol

Two very cheery images, and you're right, that play of sunshine is GORgeous! I prefer the second for its simpler composition, but both are great.

Thanks for your visit BTW - it's good to BE back. I just wish I had more time to take photos then I might be a more frequent visitor!

All the best to you

Top class flower photography Andrew, I think this deserves the famous TT award. You've used the available light perfectly and I love the vivid yellow colour of those beautiful flowers
