Hi all, finally got my first 'Kingy' at Upton Warren a few days ago Grin
The second lot of chicks are being fed by the parent birds at the moment and I believe this is a young female from the first lot.
I couldn't get as close as I would have liked so this is quite a crop. Natural reed beds provide the BG.
Many thanks for taking time out to view and comment on my Garden Spider and a special thank you to 'graceland and 'howdog' for the User Awards, very much appreciated as always.
Regards,
Geoff.

Good grief Geoff. What kind of lens arrangement would you need to get close enough?!! Anyway, 'tis a corking crop.

As a first KF shot I can imagine your pleasure and why not indeed it is a beauty Geoff - would like to see one myself seems from our local NR newsletter a lot of birds including the kingy were washed out this year with all that rain but next year maybe!

A great sparkle within this image, wonderful!

yes, of course you would notice the wear and tear on the piano--- It was given to our son-in law-by his childhood piano teacher--- well taken care of as an instrument, not as furniture-- great choice for a young and growing family of BOYS! I will try to send a full view---

For how much it has been cropped you have still managed to get a good result Geoff. Anyone would be happy with this, especially me.
Weather's still crap in Torquay, will be glad to go home to some sun - lol.

This is a stunner. Been stalking these for the last few months but nothing like this. Will keep going though.
The detail and colour is brilliant, love the background also.
