If you cropped away the right hand side, what you would be left with then is the bird on Right Hand side and looking into the shot.

Hello Taylor, welcome to epz.
This is well composed image, it looks as though your shutter speed was a little too long judging by the white parts of the water. Try placing your camera on a tripod and experiment with different shutter speeds till you get the best result.

Good detail in the water except for slight burn out, try taking a meter reading off the whitest part of the water, this will keep more detail in the busy parts of water flow.

Adam (above) makes some good points.
The exposure looks fine to me, the main improvement would be in composition.
Adams comments are sufficient if you have the opportunity to get the capture again, I have held pieces of paper over my monitor screen and I think that if you cropped about 30% off the left hand side and also 30% off the bottom the image becomes more powerful.

It has worked very nicely.
Excellent exposure on the water and similar to 'KP' doing a first water shot today, the inclusion of the rocks in the foreground breaks up the water well.

Hello Gordon, I must say your photography is improving fast, good on you.
Probably the best suggestion I can make is to take water shots on an overcast day, that way the Fuji will cope better with the water exposure. On a bright day like this I find the extremes of exposure difficult, on way you may see a difference is to take two images, one exposed for the high lights and one for the low lights. Hello Ray, this is a good image of the blossom. I think I would prefer a tighter crop on the blossom than the heavy green border, but its not my image and this is what you chose so good luck.

Gary, well composed image.
If you try a water shot again, try shooting RAW and evaluative exposure. You can then open the image in a RAW converter, open an image for the highlights and another for the low lights then bllnd in PS.
