This shot was taken back in April 2006, as the sun was setting over Ireland. Earlier uploads of Killantringan Lighthouse (22m tall, 63 steps, 480000 candle power, nominal range 25miles, est1900. The light was switched off in 2007) from this day show more traditional sunsets!

On returning to the car I took a few more images and just before I got to head off I noticed the sun, sea and sky reflected in the windscreen and on the top of the bonnet.

Didn't really consider them as anything other than record shots until a couple of weeks ago at an interclub competition where I heard the phrase 'Judge Bait'.

Knowing that I needed to get some images ready for the Club's (Livingston) first digital image competition, and knowing the judges too (howdy to Roy and David AKA kaybee and kaybeesminime) I thought, well.......

It took a twenty. Well chuffed!! Sorry to those I may have disturbed in running away from Petra (petra16) and her grasping fist of certain destruction!!!

Enjoy....

Love it - just so different. How gutted were you that it didn't work as judge bait??

Well deserving of the twenty - well done!

I don't see any marks from cows' tongues licking the salt from the car so it can't be yours!!

Maybe he photoshopped them out?

One of the funniest things ever - finding the car COVERED in tongue marks and dried cow spittle......

Nice pic! Something genuinely unique and a true grab shot. Deserves the marks it got.

It was well deserved Matt. You wouldn't have done nearly as well with it if we could have figured out what the heck it was!
