Lovely animal action shot Carol

Bold black, & white images are always a delicate balance. For myself usually wait for the sun to illuminate the subject in the right direction ! Then I underexpose it a tad, it also brings out the details in dark eyes very well too, but remember to use adaptive lighting in post editing to level it of a bit . This shot is very good, & if you wanted even more detail lay of the contrast a bit.
