Damon Hill on the grid leading the parade at the Bourne BRM Day on Sunday 7th October 2012, when the small market town of Bourne paid tribute to its links with British Motor Racing. Over 25,000members of the public lined the streets to watch the parade of pre 1963 classic cars transporters and BRM formula 1 racing cars driven on the day by such drivers as Jackie Stewart, Damon Hill and Richard Attwood
Damon drove his fathers car 'Old Faithful' BRM P578/1 on the day, in which his father Graham drove to win the 1962 Grand Prix World Championship. Graham and Damon are the only father and son to both win the Grand Prix World Championship.
Proceeds from the day went to support the local swimming pool and the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire air Ambulance.

Lovely to see Damon out in his Dad's car. I was lucky enough to watch the epic battle between Jimmy Clarke and Graham hill in 1963 at Silverstone. The Lotus had engine problems and Graham in the BRM had brake problems. Jimmy had 25 sec lead and by the end Graham was 3 seconds behind, just a couple more laps would have been enough. I don't think that Graham raced this with a camera behind his head ![]()
