I like the idea, but I find that theres not enough separation between the foreground seat and the background, - something you could do little about in a street photo.

You might consider selective colour as one methood, and Ive loaded tewo versions, - mono seat and coloured deat as an example, - obe with some Gaussian blur on the background.

Hope this might give you some ideas,

Regards

Willie

Thanks Willie, good job. I agree with you, there's little you can do in street phtography about the background but the results of your work are excellent. Personally I like the first one best, the one with the coloured seat as I think it stresses the subject itself. Let me tell you a little about the environment: the sentence written on the wall behind is a claim against crimes commited by the military junta in our country during the seventies. They kidnapped and killed children and many of those children haven't been found yet... So I think the empty seat is so symblolic in the pic. Giving colour to it and leaving the rest in the dark adds much more symbolism to the image. Great for you.

Yes, "Taken" would be a very suggestive tittle, good idea.

Gothic, - thanks so much for this extra information, - in this context then I believe the colour seat might show a difference between bright and happy children and the darkness of the situation.

Very dramatic.
