Thank you very much for c'c on the Little Grebe and chick uploads.
This Red Crested Korhaan ( the crest is only showing in displaying to females) was responding to a call from another bird - absolutely fascinating to watch but an earpiercing call. I wanted to show the bird in natural habitat as they are often seen but then skulk off into the grass - the feathers blend in perfectly to the environment and inspite of knowing it is there, very hard to see - hope yopu like it - gray

I would also like to tell you that they open and shut their beaks very quickly making a very loud noise, very similar to the old fashion football rattles,which with the call makes an amazing noise, gray.
