I found myself interested in some mushroom shots and was a bit frustrated not being able to arrange to tramp through the woods in search of suitable subjects.
On my way across the road to buy the Sunday paper I found these growing in a tree planter and couldn’t resist. Saved me lots of time in the woods!!
I have no idea what variety they are, but looking at the image the pattern and details remind me of a moth’s wings.

Nice use of the dof Greg, certainly have po's on your doorstep, prefer the tramp through the woods myself, even if I come back with an empty memory card particularly now with that smell of autumn in the air..(silly old romantic!)
