I do like it Costy. I believe you are not so keen in editing. I dont ussually mind but I think you captured the subject very well and with some manipulation, this could be a really brilliant image. A little contrast and sharpening will do the trick.

I like this for the same reasons others dont. I like that it doesnt show you everything. I like it because it makes me ask questions. I like it because it shows emotion, which make it a strong image. I know he had someone in a clinch, but he also looks like he is in anguish. He looks like he is in a clinch because he is protecting himself and not in the offensive. The composition, lighting, DOF, and texture just add to the image's strenght but it is not important here.
I just wish you didn't explain anything about it's context and let the viewers find their own explanation for why it is like it is. Had I not known its Muay Thai, I would have thought its a very emotional, caring embrace. The pain on his face would have meant something else. Viewers will then have different ideas, depending on their own personal circumstances.
I like it because it is like it is, just the way i like it. Makes sense to me.

I agree with Willie and it could do with a bit of sharpening. I find that a full body shot of a gorilla or any other ape, is more appealing. Or alternatively, a full-on in your face close-up is better.

Its a bit grainy and out of focus. When you look at the horizon, it appear that it is not leveled. But when you look at the vertical structures it is spot on. It may be an illusion, the horizon is not level in the first place. Maybe a mountain or something. Considering you took this with a compact, likely handheld, I think you did a fine job. The exposure is excellent. You can find details in both the highlights and shadows.

A good enough post card to send to the family back home. But if your intention is to do a proper landscape, it will need a bit more work. Overall... well done.
