Mature Male Polar Bear

Thank you Willie, Chris and Paul for taking time to look and comments they are all very helpful.

Willie a big thank you for your detailed critique it is just the sort of feedback I need to move my photography on and improve my images so thank you for taking the time.

Chris thanks he was the largest and most battle scarred we saw.

Paul I love foxes lucky you getting them visit your garden, but I bet they are a difficult subject, good luck. I look forward to seeing the results of your efforts.

Looking for Lunch by grinningsoul2011

Looking for Lunch

Don Thanks.

Natures Haven maybe I should have said Global Warming. Yes Climate Change has been happening since the dawn of time and is a natural event however the natural changes are being magnified by our modern energy demanding life styles.

In the 70s and 80s Acid Rain was a huge problem many thought we couldn`t turn back the destruction and that it was just part of modern living - Acid Rain is no longer the problem it was a better understanding of what we were pumping into the atmosphere and some adaptations have changed all that. Smile

The ever decreasing Ozone and the hole in the Ozone was the talk of the late 80s and 90s - again great gains stopping it getting worse have been made when many said it could only get worse!
I am an optimist but also a realist and I am not a quitter. Polar Bears need sea ice to access their primary source of food ringed seals and while they will eat just about anything they cannot get the energy value from these other foods so they are extremely unlikely to be able to adapt and become land living bears because their diet is so specialised. However after my trip to Churchill and having time to talk with some of the researchers and Polar Bear experts I am confident if we have the will power and the comitment the necesarry changes can be made that will halt the melting of the sea ice and gradually return our climate to a more natural steady state of climate change.Smile

The easiest option is to just give in and put Polar Bears on the LAST CHANCE to See list - but having seen them in the Wild if there is any hope however slim then to me it is worth the effort.Smile
