Time to move by grinningsoul2011

Time to move

A BIG THANK YOU everyone for their thoughts and suggestions on how to overcome the softness of this image. I was shooting through wire and it was between 1000 and 1130 in very bright light. I was lazy and risked AF.

I posted this photo because it is one of those that so easily could have been Jaw Dropping but isn`t and I wanted to understand my mistakes. So thank you very much for taking the time to comment and make mods which are all very useful.

So I will go away try your suggestions and hopefully get better shots of the cubs next time I go to YWP.

Great critiques thanks

English Lionesses v Armed Forces Team Sunday 7 June 2015

Dudler Thanks for the pointers. Later in the game I began experimenting and took some photos sat on a low stool they totally changed my shots and were far better composed. Yes The 65 does allow for cropping something I need to experiment with more.

Paul - its so easy to shoot in Landscape but later in the game I did try portrait and as you say it made for much better shots.

Mudge- I like the uploaded crops very much, I need to look at using cropping more it has the crop you have done really improves the final image. Yes the composition leaves plenty of room for improvement. At my next match I will try get the legs in!!Wink

Maiwand - I must get more organised still taking lots of photos so will try post more reguarly. Good to see you are still on here.

Thank you all for taking the time to comment and give me tips. I mainly photograph nature and landscapes so trying my hand at sports photography is a new challenge but it is such fun.

Love this shot, I put a load of nuts out for some red squirrels and was amazed that these little coal tits would take these nuts with such ease.

Crested Tit

Thank you M-Squared I couldn`t believe my luck when this crested tit landed on the stump I had put nuts on for the Red squirrels, I had hoped for an opportunity to photograph Crested Tits but wasn`t sure I`d be lucky.

Rev2 Yes they just look so different and ouse character.
