A 2 hour trek down from the high peaks of the private Rangihau Ranch on the outskirts of the Coromandel Forest Park culminated in this image.
I had set the camera down just as the suns rays swung over the tree line, illuminating in it's beautiful golden light. A rare moment of perfect timing indeed!
My thanks go to the owners of the ranch who kindly granted me access and gave me a speedy 4x4 lift to the top..........exhilarating!!
