heres a view of the canal and the old lock keepers house , looking from Brookfoot , towards Brighouse , quite a few people seem to either walk along this towpath , or cycle along it , theres the river Calder on the other side of the wall , whilst to the left of the picture above the trees , theres the main road to Elland from Brighouse , yet so peaceful along the towpath

It does look very peaceful.

I went for a stroll along the Huddersfield narrow canal this afternoon. Did the stretch from Milnsbridge into town. Compared to where you were it was awful. I ought to have got on the bus to Brighouse instead. Maybe that will be a trip for the warmer months ahead. Yours looks very peaceful and the footpath is dry - mine was a quagmire.
