It's a nice capture, but it's lacking in sharpness and suffering from a lot of noise.
Is the ISO setting on your camera set to high??? With that f2.8 L series lens you will not need a high ISO setting to capture a noise free image with your 400D.
If you are hand holding your camera for these type of shots try using ISO400 @f8, that should give you a fast enough shutter speed for a nice sharp noise free image.
