Being new to ePHOTOzine as a registered member I am keen to hear critique on my photos, as I experiment with compositions outside of my professional work. Taken with my trusty G10 whilst scoping out a location shoot. Some quality is lost in this small file size, but as with all black and white photos displayed on LCD screens, I love to see the tonal variations as you move your angle of view point.

I like this shot. It is creative and different. I would like to have seen the color version as well.
Subject is intersting, like the tonel range but some how didn't appear very appealing. The midtone is white washed and the background colour seemed to have blended in due to incorrect exposure and the picture composition. This is very obvious when you run your eyes from letter 'a' that is very well exposed and moving to 'n' gets faded and not exciting to look then to 'd' recovers slightly only just. Nice attempt over all. Maybe if you can go back and try 2nd time with some of my helpful tips and see the difference. this is just my opinion and you may disagree thats ok.

Thank you for your comments here. This was originally a colour image which I played with to get to this black and white finish. I must say I am not as comfortable producing black and white images digitally as I am in the dark room working with film. In this image I did play with the exposure and tone curve. I might just go back to arrange another version for your critique.
Thanks again for your feedback.

Thanks. I will be putting the colour version up as well as another black and white version following comments made today.
Much appreciate you taking time out to look at my work.
