My first morning on Vinalhaven, I went out on the two person kayak with Robert. It was full high tide, and there was no wind. Just a bit off from their house, was this rock----and there was absolutely no wind, the water was dead flat, and the rock appeared to be totally floating in space. And, I did not have my camera with me. The next morning, we went out at about the same time near high tide, and it was almost, but not quite as still. The illusion was good, but not quite perfect. After that, each trip out on the kayak, I had my camera, and could take advantage of the weather proof and water resistant attributes of the Olympus OM-D.
Sometimes the best photos are the ones that are in our mind's eyes, the ones that we have no camera for and we miss.
The others are other images of the same rock, one from the other side. You all choose.
Thanks for your votes for my floating bird yesterday.
