The large tree here was included in a much earlier entry in this series, but this is not the same photo, and a totally different composition, as the series winds down, about three to go. It has been quite cold and windy here, and the high Fall colors are starting to feel far away. Winter is coming. I am looking forward to it, and hoping we actually get some cold and snow this year.

Well captured, Peter, another fine addition to the series.
I like the fallen tree in the background - as one looks up, from the focal point of the reflection of the upright tree, one does not expect to see a fallen tree..! The image has character...

Now this is fab. Having that gorgeous blue sky as a 'relief' to the autumn hues makes this one stand out. Also having a portrait orientation - not the norm for a scene like this but it works so well. The whole series has been great but I think for sure that this is my favourite. Absolutely lovely. Perfect.

I have loved this series and this one again Peter very beautiful, but not in agreement with the fallen tree being in the composition, I myself would crop to the the bank leaving it out, it is not needed, only my opinion and others will no doubt disagree.

Trev.

Great perspective, with the full length of tree captured in the reflection. Lovely montage of trees reflected en masse. I really like how the (actual) leaves in the foreground on the surface of the water are close to the reflections, so it gives a slight optical illlusion. Smile

Crop the "real" part off; then flip vertical for an impressionist type image.
