There are a number of marshes along the road into Cape May, passing in my bike, where there are hundreds of long dead trees still standing. We have been going down there for about 20 years, and it has, in that time, always looked so.

We are leaving tomorrow for a sailing trip on the Chesapeake for the weekend. My apologies for not spending time tonight looking at photos. Late and need to finish packing for the trip, and get to bed.

I like V1 very much. I would guess that a change in the water level or on the acidity of the water may have caused their demise.
